Less than a month into his comeback from major knee surgery, Devon Allen measures his success almost entirely by speed.
Using that standard, Saturday was a rousing success for the former Oregon Duck and first-year pro, who injured his knee last September playing football soon after returning from the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Allen finished third in the men’s 110-meter hurdles during the Prefontaine Classic track and field meet at Hayward Field, clocking a time of 13.11 seconds.
Though he was behind Jamaicans Omar McLeod (13.01) and Ronald Levy (13.10), Allen recorded the second-fastest time of his career behind only his personal best of 13.03. REGISTER GUARD
