Former Paul Ryan opponent comes out as transgender

Ryan Solen had just lost a race for Congress, coming up short as the Democratic challenger to House Speaker Paul Ryan last November.

But as the campaign faded into the distance, Solen was forced to deal with much larger struggles than an election loss.
